This is a nice half hunter gold plated pocketwatch perfect for both dressy and casual wearing.
This watch is mechanical which means you just have to give it a wind before wearing and you are ready to go. [ no battery required ] So if you are not using it all the time you only have to set the time and give it a quick wind and off you go.
Watches with quartz batteries (ie not mechanical) will often run flat when you don't use them - which can be very frustrating.
On the days you want to wear it you wind the notch to power it up and set the time. Then it will take you through the day without the need to mess around with batteries.
The fob chain that comes with this watch is great for clipping onto belt loops and buttonholes for men, or handbags for women. All of our pocket watches are unisex, however, we find woman tend to prefer to attach their pocket watch to a necklace so they can hang it around their neck.
If it’s for dressy or casual wearing I then suggest going for a mechanical Pocket watch. This is because if a quartz watch sits in the draw for a long time when you come to use it you could find that the battery is flat.
